Emotional Support Animal Training
Learn how to train your dog to be your Emotional Support Animal.

Sarah has worked professionally with dogs since 2005, beginning as an intern under a behaviorist at a local animal shelter. Over the years, she has worked in municipal shelters, private rescues, pet retail, animal control, and private training and behavior consulting. Most recently, Sarah served as Program Director for a leading educational institution for dog trainers and behavior consultants, where she mentored and helped certify aspiring training professionals.
As a service dog handler herself, Sarah is passionate about educating others on service and emotional support animals and their role in improving the lives of people with disabilities. She helped develop service and emotional support animal policies for a local college and continues to support handlers in understanding, obtaining, and training assistance dogs.
She currently serves as Chair of the Animal Welfare Advisory Board for a local shelter and is working on publishing her first book on dog training and behavior. She lives with her two German Shepherds, Siberian Husky mix, and cats.
Sarah became an accredited trainer through PetSmart's training program in 2012 and earned her certification as a dog trainer and behavior consultant through CATCH Canine Trainers Academy in 2024, graduating with distinction and a final score of 100%.
She also holds an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Integrated Studies and an Associate of Science in Psychology, all with Honors, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing.
